Syn is a NodeRunner collaboration product powered by NodeVertex. This notice describes the initial Syn preview.
What Syn processes
Syn processes account and organization details, guest display names, workspace memberships, messages, shared files, action items, invitations, and security activity needed to provide collaboration. Audio, video, and screen sharing are transmitted when you enable them. Meeting recording is disabled in this preview.
Where your collaboration lives
Conversations and shared work are stored through the existing NodeRunner platform. Syn runs on NodeRunner’s Kubernetes infrastructure. Cloudflare provides DNS and the public web proxy. LiveKit and TURN services support meeting connectivity.
Who can access a conversation
Your host organization controls workspace membership and conversation permissions. Guest meeting invitations admit one person and expire after 24 hours. Guest sessions are limited to the invited channel and last up to eight hours unless revoked earlier. Messages can remain available to the host organization after you leave. Treat guest links as private credentials.
Sessions and browser storage
Syn uses secure, HTTP-only cookies for account and workspace sessions. The shared collaboration interface may store interface preferences and recently opened workspaces in your browser. Syn’s public website does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Public typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts.
Agents
Invited AI participants are identified as agents. An agent’s authorized runtime may process conversation content made available to it. Ask your host which agents and model providers are connected before sharing sensitive information.
Access requests and your choices
When you request early access, we store your email, optional organization, consent, and the source of your request in the platform’s signup records. Requesting access does not create a subscription. Contact your organization’s administrator or meeting host about workspace access, retention, export, or removal. For Syn preview questions, use the contact form.
